Jermyn Street was dark and I relished it.
I’d grown an affinity to the darkness, sometimes I felt like I could feel it roiling around me like a storm cloud.
Keeping to the shadows I closed in on Keir’s estate. Jermyn Street had long been home for the wealthy of Rhode Island, the higher up the hill, the higher status you were.
It looked like Keir was well up the hill.
The fences surrounding his grounds were made of slick metal rails. Although beyond the rails it was impenetrable darkness I could still see patrols. Men in trenchcoats and fedoras, men in suits, and men and women in the strange robes I’d seen before. In the cemetery.
I found a brick pillar that joined two sets of metal fence and I scaled it quickly, lightly dropping to the other side. Keeping close to the ground I used the areas of heaviest shadow to beat the patrols. Sometimes it seemed like there was something aiding them, they turned when I knew I hadn’t made a sound, they suddenly stopped moving one direction to move right towards me. Quick feet and quick thinking kept me undetected and eventually I slid open a ground floor window and rolled in.
The room I landed in seemed like a study of some sort. Strange artifacts rested in glass cases. As much as I would have enjoyed investigating them further I could hear footsteps in the adjacent hallway and the voice of my quarry.
I crab-walked to the door and pressed my ear against it:
“…What do you mean you can’t find him? He’s one man in a town full of Children. Someone must have seen him by now.” Keir demanded.
“He’s resourceful, Doctor.” A soft feminine voice lilted.
“The escape from the ritual was insult enough, but to have him break into my office is something else entirely…”
The voices trailed off as they moved out of earshot. Obviously Keir was talking about me and he was unhappy with my recent efforts, I would have to take extra care…

I like cute things, whatever, I'm a cute person! If you ever played neo pets you would like it too. There are some addictive games on there.
You should also update your story more. I'm starting to lose interest because updates and few and far between.

I wasn't being serious, I just like to apply broad general stereotypes to people.
As for the story, it's probably on the way out. I'm fairly sure you're the only person reading it and I'm having a hard enough time doing regular writing let alone trying to write and keep this up as well.

When I write, I do like once a month and I've never finished anything. At least you were going somewhere with yours!

Why don't you finish anything, and why only once a month?

You should add me to AIM or something.

I would but I'm running the queue, it's kind of a universal aim name and I'd hate to have you aim Marc, the other Ian, or Adam by accident

"because you suck" is neither real, nor accurate, I bet.

A few times I've finished a story and gone back a few days later to edit it and the beginning has nothing to do with the end.
So I rewrite the beginning.
